Iranian grandma, track and field champ

85-year-old Iranian woman who has been crowned the champion in international track and field competitions is the focus of Iranian doc ‘Champion’.

Elham Aghalari’s documentary follows 85-year-old Iranian woman Fatemeh Heshmati who is a champion of track and field competitions.

She has been doing sports professionally in the city of Shiraz in Iranian Fars province for years. She has already attended international competitions several times.

The lady’s high motivation and being big on sports has surprised those who learn about her achievements and motivation. The champion says she has done whatever it takes to encourage young and old to do more physical exercise for better health conditions.
